Buffalo Mechanical Traction
Treating back pain with mechanical traction
Traction is used in the treatment of neck or low back pain from certain conditions or injuries. This treatment is used to decrease pain and improve mobility. Mechanical traction is a form of decompression therapy in which your physical therapist gently straps you into a traction table. The physical therapist then uses the machine to lightly stretch your spine to help relieve the tension and pressure on intervertebral discs.
If mechanical traction is utilized to help your condition or injury, the talented doctors here at BC + PT will answer any questions and explain what you should expect from the treatment.
